ALBANY — The mood at the Convention Center in Albany was jubilant on Tuesday as more than 1,000 reproductive health rights advocates from around the state celebrated major legislative gains at Planned Parenthood’s annual Day of Action.

After the state Senate turned blue in November’s election, the Democratic Legislature quickly passed the long-stalled Reproductive Health Act and the Comprehensive Contraception Coverage Act in January, codifying federal abortion rights and ensuring that insurance providers cover birth control.
