In the 336 days of 2015, there have already been 355 mass shootings in our nation. (Washington Post, December 2)  Yesterday, 14 people were killed in San Bernardino, California while in Savannah, Georgia a gunman shot four people, killing a woman and injuring three men. Please click here to sign a petition by MomsRising to demand Congress acts to advance gun safety and community safety immediately.

On December 14, the third anniversary of the shooting in Newtown, Connecticut, congregations across the nation will participate in prayer, song, and vigils to remember those who have lost their lives to gunfire and to pray for those whose lives have been forever changed because of the loss of a loved one. To pledge to participate in the Sabbath, please click here.  An evening prayer service to pray for the victims of gun violence may be accessed by clicking here.
