Catholic Health Association Addresses Climate Change with Congress
The Catholic Health Association (CHA) wrote to lawmakers this week ahead of Pope Francis’ address to Congress on Sept. 24, and urged them to make climate change a policy priority. Citing the Church’s longstanding concern for the environment as well as the Pope’s recent call to action to combat climate change, the CHA asked members of Congress to support standards to curb carbon pollution from power plants and the Green Climate Fund to help countries to help developing countries adapt to climate change. Please email your legislator prior to the Pope’s visit on this issue by clicking here.
