Getting others involved for Pro Life

hdrREDThe color of love is Red! The color of life is Red! The color of a campaign for life is Red also!

Why not send a RED message–or better still, lots of Red messages to President Obama and Vice-President Biden as part of the Red Envelope Campaign? That’s what almost 100 sisters, associates, convent volunteers and staff, faculty and staff at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart in Coraopolis, PA, and parishioners at St. Louise de Marillac and others did.

SM Faith Balawejder, JPIC area coordinator, created labels for the red envelopes which read: This empty envelope represents one child 4939who died in abortion. Please re-assess your position on LIFE! or This envelope represents a child who died in abortion. Life was denied. Please re-assess your position on LIFE from conception to natural death.

The empty red envelopes were signed, and printed names and addresses were added. Envelopes were mailed to each leader to be received on January 22, the 40th anniversary of Roe v. Wade. As the campaign continued, another set of envelopes was sent to be received on January 25, the day of the March for Life in Washington, D.C.
